The final night of the Musicology Tour was always going to be a rather special occasion, and this show plenty of moments worthy of a finale show. Prince is evidently in a self-indulgent mood tonight, and there are some very extended jams, most notably by the NPG horns. Prince himself gets in on the act, and the acoustic set contains a rather funny, seemingly somewhat improvised 7 minute long track about a couple's different interpretation of rules within their relationship. Nikka Costa shows up and takes over the vocals on 'Whole Lotta Love', and there is an excellent bass jam over the Freak-A-Leek loop segueing between 'Let's Work and 'U Got The Look' - extended and completely different to the one played during the 2nd leg of the tour. The sound quality of this particular recording is extremely enjoyable, and deserves a VG+ rating - however the problem lies with the editing on this release. Unfortunately (and it IS stated on the artwork) Defacto have edited out the parts where the audience were very audible, and people in the immediate proximity evidently spoiled the recording. This leads to sections of the show being missing, and while it IS flawlessly edited.
