Scott Hull is de gitarist van thrash /metal formatie Agoraphobic Nosebleed. Twee jaar geleden verscheen zijn eerste solo plaat Requiem, gevolgd door de eerste twee delken van Audiofilm, een serie 3-inch cd's in zeer beperkte oplage.
"Guitarist Scott Hull is following up on his surprising recent stylistic shift by releasing more material in a Dark ambient style: Hard-hitting experimental Metal label Crucial Blast have announced the publication of “Audiofilm”, a series of 3inch CDs all featuring dark, over ten minute long atmospheric soundscapes. Limited to a single pressing of 1.000 copies, the first installment of the “Audiofilm” EPs will be presented in a lovingly designed minipack with artwork by Seldon Hunt, a steady force on the scene and well-known from his work for artists like Birchville Cat Motel. Crucial Blast were more than a little excited to offer this little gem just in time for the Christmas season: “This first part of the Audiofilm Series is a terrifying fug of demonic drone that utilizes delirious stereo panning and slabs of obsidian ambience, and it slowly unfolds over the length of the piece to reveal layers of malevolent black drone and unsettling voices seemingly lost between planes of shadow”, the label described the EP with terminology usually reserved for Metal bands, “Audiofilm I plays out like a wildly hallucinogenic horror film score, and anyone into Scott's previous ambient/soundscape work will find this to be one of his darkest pieces yet.”
