Google Chrome OS is a project by Google Inc. to develop a lightweight computer operating system devoted to using the World Wide Web.[1] Announced on July 7, 2009, it will be based on Google's Chrome web browser and is set to be released during the second half of 2010.[2] It will run on systems with either x86 or ARM processors.[3] Google has stated that the Google Chrome OS project will be open source[4] by the end of 2009, and that it will use "a new windowing system".[5]

er staat dat die op een x86 systeem zou draaien... dat betekend een 32 bit systeem. het systeem is heel licht (zou het moeten zijn) en is daarom ook maar 500 mb groot ff op discje branden en installeren.
