This is The Rosenberg Trio's first major recording. It holds its own against the very best recorded works of Bireli Lagrene and any of the other major players in the modern Gypsy jazz style. The talents that have emerged from the seed of Django Reinhardt's unparalleled contribution are growing to long to list; but The Rosenberg Trio drive home the manouche standards with a fire, passion, respect, and of course speed that is humbling and still musically beautiful. I am always floored by how well Stochelo can play acoustic jazz guitar. This was the first non Django gypsy CD I ever owned. This recording is a superb introduction for anyone to this music. Stochelo Rosenberg lead guitar, Nousche Rosenberg, Rhythm guitar, and Nonnie Rosenberg Bass. If you like gypsy jazz or you like acoustic jazz guitar check this out.
