Post Description
Live at Carnegie Hall is an electric blues album of a live performance by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble at Carnegie Hall, New York City, on October 4, 1984—one night after Vaughan's thirtieth birthday. The power trio of Vaughan, Shannon and Layton was expanded that night with the participation of Dr. John on keyboards, the five-man horn section from Roomful of Blues, and Stevie's brother Jimmie on rhythm guitar. Stevie and the band were introduced by John Hammond, who had "discovered" and first signed the band to a major record label less than two years earlier.
