Live at Chastain Park is a concert recording of soul singer James Brown, taped on September 13, 1985 at Chastain Park Amphitheater in Atlanta, Georgia, during a sold-out show in which the then-52-year-old Brown showed no sign of slowing down. The band was led by saxophonist Maceo Parker, and featured Martha High on backing vocals, Johnny Griggs on percussion, and St. Clair Pinckney on tenor saxophone. Brown performs a run of his greatest hits, from the opening blast of "Give It Up Or Turn It Loose" and "Get On The Good Foot," through classics like "Papa's Got A Brand New Bag," "Try Me," "Cold Sweat," "I Got You (I Feel Good)," and the emotional ballad "It's A Man's Man's Man's World," closing out the set with "Please, Please, Please" and an instrumental "Jam."

The recording was first released in 1988 by Charly Records (UK/Europe), and has since been reissued dozens of times worldwide on LP, VHS, CD, and DVD by a range of (often budget) labels, each time under a different title — including "Live In Georgia," "Most Famous Hits (Live At Chastain Park)," "An American Icon," "Absolutely Live!," "The King Of Soul: Live At Chastain Park, Atlanta, USA," and "James Brown In Concert."
